Mission Statement

The International Fat Grafting Forum brings together medical innovators from around the
world to discuss cutting edge technology and techniques in the field of fat grafting.

Course Overview Statement

Autologous fat grafting and stem cell biology have come to a crossroad in plastic surgery.
The field of stem cell biology will have a profound impact in reconstructive and cosmetic
procedures for all parts of the body. The Fat Grafting Forum will present physicians from
all over the world to discuss the important clinical application of stem cell biology in
plastic surgery. The faculty will focus on the procedural and technical aspects of fat
grafting with emphasis on the benefits, complications, and patient safety related to fat
grafting. The Fat Grafting Forum will present a full day of didactics followed by a half
day of interactive video presentation.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify the benefits of fat grafting to the breast, face, buttocks, and other areas of the body.

2. Understand patients concerns regarding mammography and changes in mammography post fat grafting to differentiate between benign and malignant disease.

3. Understand and demonstrate fat grafting harvesting, preparation of the fat and the injection
technique to accomplish a natural enhanced look.

4. Identify post operative complications and discuss patient safety in relation to fat grafting.

5. Understand the role of stem cell biology and autologous fat grafting as it relates to plastic surgery.
